Position Title: Audit Supervisor
Job Overview
The Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the execution of audit engagements, ensuring compliance with established standards, and providing guidance to junior staff. This role involves planning, coordinating, and reviewing audit work while identifying risks and offering solutions to improve internal controls and processes. The Audit Supervisor serves as a key liaison between the audit team and senior management.

Key Responsibilities
- Audit Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement audit plans and strategies to achieve objectives efficiently.
- Supervise and guide audit team members throughout the engagement.
- Review and assess the adequacy of internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform advanced testing and analytical procedures to verify accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Team Leadership
- Assign tasks to audit team members based on their skills and experience.
- Provide training, mentoring, and constructive feedback to junior staff.
- Ensure timely completion of audits and adherence to deadlines.
- Quality Assurance & Reporting
- Review audit workpapers and documentation to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
- Present audit results to management and stakeholders effectively.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Identify potential risks and control deficiencies in business processes.
- Collaborate with management to develop practical solutions and improve internal processes.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Address client concerns and queries promptly and professionally.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in auditing.
- Recommend improvements to audit methodologies and tools.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of progressive audit experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in audit software and tools, financial systems, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and auditing standards.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
- Office-based, with occasional travel to client sites as needed.
- May require extended hours during peak periods.
