Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and efficiency of all vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

·         Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake adjustments, and engine tune-ups.

·         Conduct thorough safety inspections to ensure vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

·         Troubleshoot and repair engine systems, transmissions, exhaust systems, and cooling systems.

·         Test vehicle systems and components using diagnostic equipment to identify issues.

·         Replace or repair faulty parts such as brakes, steering components, and electrical systems.

·         Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.

·         Collaborate with drivers and dispatchers to understand vehicle issues and prioritize repairs.

·         Stay updated on advancements in truck maintenance technologies and techniques.

·         Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the workshop is clean and organized.


Qualifications:

·         University degree or equivalent (required); vocational or technical training in automotive repair (preferred).

·         Proven experience as a truck mechanic or in a similar role.

·         Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electronic diagnostic tools.

·         Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and repair instructions.

·         Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

·         Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in various positions.

·         Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·         Diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise.

·         Strong mechanical aptitude.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Good communication skills for interacting with team members and reporting issues.
