Assistant Accountant Description of Duties
· Assist monthly management of accounts include Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
· Preparations and Filing of Returns for all mandatory payments to the government (TRA) i.e PAYE (Pay as You Earn), SDL (Skill Development Levy), Provisional Tax
· Manage and assist preparation of payroll
· Undertake other financial analysis and reporting as requested by the top management.
· Meet clients demands, assist tax issues in a timely manner, keeping the client informed on progress of engagement and professionally responding to questions as they arise.
· Manage all accounting transactions
· Document financial transactions by entering account information
· Oversee monthly closing processes ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
· Posting and recording routine accounting transactions to the accounting software.
· Review and evaluate capital expenditure and completion of corporation tax
· Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
· Ensure timely bank payments and reconciliation
· Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
· Assist preparation of financial statement
· Any other duty assigned with supervisor.
Requirements:
· Thorough knowledge and competent in accounting package
· Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
· Accuracy and attention to detail
Working Experience
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting field
Educational Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any other related Field
Other Qualification
· Flexible, reliable, hard worker, adaptable, responsible and Team player
· Should be able to work under pressure
