JD - CATERING OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Catering Operations Manager to oversee our catering services and ensure the successful execution of events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. The Catering Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of catering operations, from planning and logistics to staff management and client relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all catering operations, including event planning, food preparation, service, and post-event follow-up.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their catering needs, preferences, and budget, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for catering events to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to create menus that meet client specifications and dietary requirements.
  • Manage catering staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary, maintaining cost control and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site visits and oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly.
  • Handle client inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
  • Analyze catering operations to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Prepare reports on catering performance, including sales, costs, and client satisfaction metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3Years experience in catering management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of catering operations and event planning.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on employee development and performance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in catering management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
