Makonde Beach Resort - Mtwara, Tanzania

The three of us were visiting the Makonde Beach Resort Restaurant for dinner and ordered Shrimps with rice. A sauce was not available and so the shrimps came with dry rice, a bit of cabbage salad and local Ketchup. The quantity of shrimps was miserable, hardly adequate for two portions and we said so. After a long wait the complaint was passed from the waiter to the cook, then to the manager on duty who informed us that he could do nothing about it and that the real manager in charge was unavailable. PLACE TO AVOID.
