Kilimanjaro Bike Trek Day Tour - Back to Your Hotel in Moshi

You will be picked up in the morning at your hotel in Moshi and taken to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (Marangu Gate, 1860m) for 1 hour. Once the gate registration has been completed, your trek can begin, you will be hiking through the rainforest Alongside the impressive vegetation, you will have the chance to catch a glimpse of black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and various bird species. Guide will inform you about Kilimanjaro and will explain the different species of plants and animals you will see. After a 3-4 hour hike, you will reach Mandara Hut (2700m), where you will have a well-earned rest and lunch. Your guide will then take you on a short hike (15 minutes walking distance) to the Maundi Crater, where you can enjoy wonderful views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Northern Tanzania and Kenya. Once you have enjoyed the views, you will return to the Marangu Gate (2-3 hours walking distance), where your vehicle will be waiting for your transfer back to your hotel at Moshi.

DAY 1: MOSHI - MARANGU GATE –
KILEMA GATE –HOROMBO HUT
Meet your guide and embark on your transfer to the Marangu gate, which takes about 45 minutes. The journey passes through the village of Marangu, which is located on the lower slopes of the mountain

DAY 2: FULL DAY HOROMBO ACCLIMATIZATION
(Horombo Hut – Mawenzi Hut – Back To Horombo Hut)
After breakfast you start your cycling, riding through Alpine desert, some of the areas you will be riding on small stone up to Mawenzi hut and back to Horombo hut.

DAY 3: HOROMBO HUT - KIBO HUT – BACK TO HOROMBO HUT
After an early breakfast, meet your guide and start your ascent into the Alpine desert habitat. The first 3 km of the trail is very rocky and cycling will be very difficult as this section is very stony and eroded. After about 3km the trail improves and cycling will once again be possible.

DAY 4: HOROMBO HUT - KIBO HUT
Early wake and make sure your duffel bags are packed and ready to go. After breakfast, meet your guide and we head back up to Kibo hut. Again the first 3km would require you pushing and carrying your bike a lot, with the final 7km to Kibo hut offering a good biking trail.

DAY 5: KIBO HUT - SUMMIT THEN HOROMBO

At four am, you will be awakened by your guides to start the zigzag trek up long screen slop. After roughly two hours you should reach Hans Meyer’s Cave and from here the gradient gets steeper.

DAY 6: HOROMBO HUT - KILEMA GATE - MARANGU GATE
TO MOSHI
After breakfast, make your final riding down to Kilema gate across the alpine and the rainforest to Kilema gate, then you will be transferred to Marangu gate for check out and then to the hotel in Moshi. Dinner and overnight at Moshi or Arusha.

DAY 0
Arrival - Arusha
Upon arrival at Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport, your Tanzania Burigi Chato Safaris guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi Tanzania.

DAY 1: ARUSHA – FLY TO CENTRAL SERENGETI (SERONERA AREA)
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha town at 6:30 am, and get transferred to the airport to board your flight to Serengeti which shall depart at 7:45 am and land at Seronera airstrip at 9:00 am. Your driver guide, with an open roof 4x4 safari vehicle and lunch-box, shall pick you up from Seronera airstrip and commence with game drive.

DAY 02
Serengeti (Central) – Ngorongoro
Proceed with morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with a lunch and leisure break at the lodge in the midafternoon. The term Serengeti means endless plains in Masai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah.

DAY 03
Ngorongoro Crater- Full Day Tour
After breakfast, descend into the crater with lunch box enjoying the game drive for more than 7 hours. Millions of years ago, a volcano the size of Mount Kilimanjaro rose from the highlands of northern Tanzania.

DAY 04
Manyara/Karatu – Lake Eyasi – Back Manyara/Karatu
Explore wild, uncharted territory in southern Serengeti. Lake Eyasi, located in the immediate southwest of Ngorongoro Crater in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania, is one of the several beautiful lakes in the East African Rift Valley.

DAY 05
LakeManyara (Full-Day Tour) – Back to Arusha/Moshi
Explore wild, uncharted territory in southern Serengeti. Lake Eyasi, located in the immediate southwest of Ngorongoro Crater in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania, is one of the several beautiful lakes in the East African Rift Valley.
