Savannah Tours is a privately owned and managed family company now in its 42nd year of operation in the Tanzanian tourism industry.

The company is currently managed by Cliff D’Souza, as the Managing Director, who has over two decades of experience in the tourism industry. Savannah was established by Mr. Xavier D’Souza, fondly known as Zapata, in the 1970’s with the vision of developing the Tanzanian tourism industry. In addition to Savannah the family also owns the Hotel Tanzanite in Usa River, Arusha and Safari Junction Lodge in Karatu, Ngorongoro both of which are currently on the planning stages of being redeveloped.
