PanAfrican Energy - Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

PanAfrican Energy is a leading natural gas producer in Tanzania, providing gas for power generation at the Ubungo Power Plant in Dar es Salaam and supplying 38 industrial and commercial customers with Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Since 1991, PanAfrican (and its predecessor companies) have been actively involved in the development of Tanzania’s Songo Songo gas field, restoring wells, designing and constructing processing facilities, and constructing a marine and land pipeline. In 2004, natural gas from Songo Songo was sent to Dar es Salaam and has been supplying customers ever since. To ensure the sustainability of Songo Songo, PanAfrican has drilled two new wells and conducted seismic exploration.
