Africado - Dodoma, Tanzania

Africado is a successful avocado plantation situated at the base of the majestic Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Founded in 2007, Africado has grown from a newly established business to the biggest fruit exporter in Tanzania, producing and shipping Hass avocados to the European Union. The company works alongside 2,000 small-scale farmers. Norfund supplied 40% of the capital necessary for the project.
