OUR KILIMANJARO ROUTES ( WITH PRICES )
1. ****MARANGU ROUTE****
A. 5 DAYS MOUNT KILIMANJARO CLIMBING - VIA MARANGU ROUTE --- 1250 usd
b. 6
ABOUT MARANGU ROUTE
The Marangu route is also referred to as the "Coca-Cola" route, as it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope and direct path. It is the oldest and the most well established route on the Kilimanjaro. This is the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style. Guests are supplied with mattresses and pillows, but sleeping bags are still required. The huts have communal dining halls, basic washrooms and toilet.
Short time frame of the route makes altitude acclimatization fairly difficult. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the southeast. Marangu is unfortunately less scenic than the other routes because the ascent and descent are along the same path. It is also the most crowded route for that reason. BURIGI CHATO SAFARIS CO Ltd® offers Marangu Route climbing for five and six days climb. The difference being five days climb does not have an acclimatization day on day three at Horombo Hut.

2. ****MACHAME ROUTE****
A.6 DAYS MOUNT KILIMANJARO CLIMBING - VIA MACHAME ROUTE --- 1500 USD
B.7 DAYS MOUNT KILIMANJARO CLIMBING - VIA MACHAME ROUTE --- 1650 USD
ABOUT MACHAME ROUTE
The Machame route, also known as the "Whiskey" route, is the most popular route on Kilimanjaro. Machame’s draw is in its scenic beauty. However, the trail is considered difficult, steep and challenging, particularly due to its shorter itinerary. Therefore this route is better suited for more adventurous folks or those with some high altitude, hiking or backpacking experience.
The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the south, beginning with a short drive from Moshi to Machame Gate. The path leads hikers through the rain forest to Shira Plateau. Here, many of Kilimanjaro’s routes converge. Then the route turns east and traverses underneath Kilimanjaro's Southern Ice Field on a path known as the Southern Circuit before summiting from Barafu. Descent is made via the Mweka route.
BURIGI CHATO SAFARIS CO Ltd® offers Machame as a seven day group climb or as a six day private climb. The six day variation combines days four and five, going from Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp without staying at Karanga.

DAYS MOUNT KILIMANJARO CLIMBING - VIA MARANGU ROUTE --- 1450 USDABOUT MARANGU ROUTE

Elevation: 19,341 ft to 10,065 ft
Distance: 12 km/7 miles
Hiking Time: 4-6 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest
Very early in the morning (around midnight), we begin our push to the summit. This is the most mentally and physically challenging portion of the trek. The wind and cold at this elevation and time of day can be extreme. We ascend in the darkness for several hours while taking frequent, but short, breaks. Near Stella Point (18,900 ft), you will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise you are ever likely to see coming over Mawenzi Peak. Finally, we arrive at Uhuru Peak- the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa.
From the summit, we now make our descent continuing straight down to the Mweka Hut camp site, stopping at Barafu for lunch. The trail is very rocky and can be quite hard on the knees; trekking poles are helpful. Mweka Camp is situated in the upper forest and mist or rain can be expected in the late afternoon. Later in the evening, we enjoy our last dinner on the mountain and a well-earned sleep.
DAY 6
Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Elevation: 10,065 ft to 5,380 ft
Distance: 10 km/6 miles
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest
On our last day, we continue the descent to Mweka Gate and collect the summit certificates. At lower elevations, it can be wet and muddy. From the gate, we continue another hour to Mweka Village. A vehicle will meet us at Mweka Village to drive us back to the hotel in Moshi.

This park is renowned for its diverse bird species and extensive population of elephants. There are regular sightings of ferocious lions, giraffe, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and mischievous baboons. Day 2:
We will have an early start to the day to ensure that we complete the itinerary for the day which includes a magnificent game drive with a picnic lunch in the crater. Animals infrequently migrate in and out of the crater due to its elevated walls. This means you are capable of spotting every member of the big five in one day. The big five comprises of buffalo, elephants, rhinos, lions and leopards. Some of the other wildlife that you can expect to see includes zebras, hippo, wildebeest and hyenas. The craters also feature an extensive bird population including geese, storks and vultures. You will be graced by the lovely flamingos on the Soda Lake. Our guides are highly skilled and will impress you with their ability to track down animals. This is a skill that a book cannot teach you and that a selected few can perform. Your trip will come to an end in the late afternoon and we will proceed to Arusha.

Top Tanzania Safari company
My friend and I came to Tanzania from the United States with the goal of reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Burigi Chato Safaris made that goal very attainable. This tour company treated us like family from the moment we walked into their office and that continued until after we made it back down off the mountain. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, the cook prepared meals on the mountain that were phenomenal, and our team of porters were sooo friendly and willing to help in anyway they could. We reached the summit!!! The experience was incredible and I could not be happier with the service we were provided.

The incredible Burigi Chato National Park--- TANZANIA SAFARI
This park have many animals that you can spot on the game drive they are far close than in the other national parks I visited in Tanzania. I encountered lots of time spending when in other parks than in Burigi National park! Looking for animals though was not terribly bad but it consumed time during the drive after entering the park.

If not for Burigi Chato Safaris I wonder how my Zanzibar experience would have been. Because I learned about the Island from a song in Slovenia singing “Beautiful Island in Africa” Burigi Chato Safaris helped me meet Africa and Zanzibar let me talk about Zanzibar's experience with Zanzibar! I booked one of the packages. Everyone was friendly and I enjoyed it. I had a budgeted budget thus why I never wanted expensive accommodation and they gave me the options. From the get get-go, this company was awesome.

Incredible Safari with BURIGI CHATO SAFARIS
I have always wanted to do Serengeti since I was a kid. The movie Lion King inspired me. As I was booking my ticket to Tanzania where Serengeti is I saw an Island named Zanzibar! I as well hooked it up on social media and the entire internet I was excited to know that after Safari I can relax by the beach with clear waters with no perms or any stones. I then found Burigi Chato Safaris which pledged to help me. The chat I had with them was very detailed answering every bit and inch of my questions. I was very informed even before agreeing to book with them (Then eventually it was the reason to why I wanted to book with them) they answered all my questions. I got in the safari car and everything was well planned from the lunch box during the exit day from town to the park to the last day when the managing director Geoffrey met us after our safari.
